This mask is based on the film Dreams(1990) by Akira Kurosawa. The inspiration came from the first segment "Sunshine Through the Rain" which revolves around the legend of Kitsune (foxes). It is said that when the sun is shining through the rain, the Kitsune have their weddings during such weather. The scene portrayed with this eerie beauty feel and saturated colors combined with high contrast are what inspired this mask.
