I wanted to create some unusual mask with elements of book pages and therefore came up with this mask. First, I drew a sketch of my mask and only then began to make it. I thought that I would make the mask quite quickly and that it would not be difficult, but it was still difficult when I started to sculpt the base with plaster. My mask is most suited to the realistic yet altered style. I liked this style the most. For design principles, I used book paper and buttons to glue them on, and cut the ends of the paper into sharp ends. Under the paper I have plaster painted black. I didn’t want to choose light colors, because the emphasis was on the paper and buttons. I had a good time decorating the mask and gluing the other parts of the mask. From this process, I learned how to use plaster, because I had never used it before. And in general, I am satisfied with the result.
